ABOUT MIKE
Mike Canales is a Healthcare Facilities Engineering Professional. Currently serving as professor and program director for the Healthcare Facilities Leadership program at Owensboro Community and Technical College. Mike has been a long time ASHE member, earned his CHFM certification in 2003, and is a founding member and past president of the Virginia Society of Healthcare Engineers(VSHE). Mike received the 2022 ASHE Presidents Award for his industry impacting educational efforts. Mike has expertise in Clinical Engineering, Maintenance & Plant Operations, Security, Emergency Management, Project Management, Environmental Services, Telecommunications, Public Water Works, Leadership Development and Education. Mike is passionate about the professional development and advancement of the healthcare facilities workforce from entry level to the seasoned veteran.
